It is the mission of the Somerset Police Department to protect life and property while providing professional and courteous law enforcement service to all citizens on behalf of the City of Somerset, Texas. The Somerset Police Department provides law enforcement service within the jurisdictional boundaries of the City of Somerset, TX 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Additionally, Somerset Police Department Officers are available to assist surrounding law enforcement agencies as the need arises or upon request. 7) Final Selection/Recommendation to City Administrator, Mayor and City Council for Appointment as a
